I had injections in my hips today. It was tough as heck to get everything set up and ready to get up there. Julie ran in the ditch this morning and roads were awful. We saw quite a few people in the ditch on the way up.
We got there pretty early, maybe about 1:00. I watched the fish in the awesome fish tank. A lot were dead. Then at 1:45 i was called into the back. I know the drill. I've done this for what seems like 500 times. So i went back and talked to the nurse. She took all my vitals, had me sign papers and then left. I waited about 45 minutes for the IV to get started. She stuck me once with a numbing agent then tried to find my vein, but no dice. she called in one of the guys from anesthesia to do it. He found a vein in the back of my hand. I noticed he didn't bring back any of the numbing stuff but i decided i'm a big girl, i can handle it.

As soon as he stuck me i let out a huge gasp. Then he had to dig around and it freaking hurt. He said politely "You probably don't like me right now, i'm sorry" and i replied saying "Yeah, i don't like you at all right now". Then with a pop, he got my vein. He taped me up and said "You can tell i'm a hockey player with how much tape i put on" and i'm thinking. "Oh man. I'm going to have to take this all off later. Then we talked about my dad being a hockey player and julie and i discussed what it would be like to have him give me an IV. I declined that idea.

After about an hour and a half of having the IV in me, i really had to pee. So i grabbed the back and headed out to the bathroom. They didn't have an IV roller thing in my room so i just held it in my hands. While i was in the bathroom i set it down on my lap, completely forgetting about this wonderful thing called gravity. Turns out that when you turn the bag on it's side none of the solution drips down into my body. My vein in my hand decided that since nothing was coming into my body that the tube should fill up with blood. So it did. The tube was full of blood. I hurried up and went out to the nursing station and asked if it was ok, they said yes. So i went back into my room, put my bag back up on the hook and watched the iv fluid slowly push my blood back inside my arm. It was pretty cool. Not going to lie. Never seen something like that before.

I talked to julie about this one super hot anesthesiologist i had one time i was there with an accent. Of course i forgot what he looked like, but i imagined he was hot because he had an accent.

2 hours later the hot man with the accent walked in.

He wasn't hot.

At all.

He was old.

And hairy.

With a mustache.

ew.

So i went with him to the surgery room and got the procedure done. It went well. They gave me the anesthesia stuff through IV, which hasn't settled well with me.

After that, i went back to the room all tired and what not. I got all done then we headed to KFC because i was freakin' hungry. Yoda came with, he was all happy to see me. I was happy to see him too.

Oh, i forgot. Before i left the hospital i asked my boyfriend if he would come over. He said yes.

Once i realized what i just asked i panicked a little bit. So as soon as i got home i threw on a BUNCH of makeup so i didn't look so damn sick, changed my clothes and cleaned my place up. After opening gifts from McNally of course. She gave me a Hello Kitty tooth brush and a Hello Kitty Toaster!! Yeah, sweet. I know.

Max got here, i introduced him to everyone. Julie him and i went downstairs and watched the Shining. Then Julie went up stairs so we snuggled for a bit. He held me really close and kept telling me how pretty i am. It made me happy. Then amber came and visited us.

The whole time Max was here he kept calling Yoda to snuggle with him. I think he likes Yoda and that makes me happy. So yeah, it was really nice to see Max. He made me feel loads better. I had to send him home early though because i don't feel good. Right now i'm just waiting for him to text me that he made it home safe so i can go to sleep. I'm pretty into him.
